Dr. Rob O’Lynn, Senior Minister

New Profile PictureI have been the Senior Minister at Beech Street since August 2014. Prior to that, I served congregations in Arkansas, Texas, West Virginia and Kentucky, and worked as a chaplain at Cabell Huntington Hospital. In addition to leading here, I also teach ministry full-time at Kentucky Christian University and part-time at Johnson University and Fuller Theological Seminary.

I enjoy sharing my faith with others, spending time with my family, routing for the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes, brewing tea and reading.

I received my education from Harding University (BA), the Austin Graduate School of Theology (MA), Lubbock Christian University (MDiv), and the Harding School of Theology (DMin), as well as Abilene Christian University (conflict management) and Marshall University (counseling).

My wife, Rachael, is a native of San Diego, and is a graduate of Palomar College, Shawnee State University and the University of Nebraska. She and I have two wonderful kids!

I hope to see you soon at one of our worship services, and feel free to connect with me on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, or through my blog.

Samuel Guy, Interim Youth Minister

sam and laurel

As a sophomore at Kentucky Christian University, I joined to the Beech Street staff as a part-time music minister. I served there for about three years before heading off to complete a preaching internship. I have now returned to Beech Street to serve as an interim youth minister, and I could not be more excited!

I enjoy teaching the Bible in fresh new ways that invite students into the incredible story of Jesus. I also enjoy Batman, Star Wars, and studying ancient Greek.

I completed course work for Kentucky Christian University in the fall of 2018 and will be officially graduating with degrees in Advanced Biblical Studies and Preaching this coming May.

My bride, Laurel Grace Guy, and I just married this past December, and we are eager to spread the Good News of Jesus to the students here in Ashland.
